I have backpack purses from major designers and this is as good as all of them, but at a much better cost. Great value for the price. And love the mauve/purple color that I got. It makes this a very unique looking bag. Lots of zippers and compartments. I am about to buy another color right now.I like this bag. It’s a bit bigger than I expected but that’s my measurement issue, not theirs. The quality is very good and the color is neutral but unique. You can fit a TON in all the pockets. More room than I needed but keeping it for days or trips when I might need more room for stuff.I am very particular when it comes to bags. I need just the right size, but not too big. This bag holds my epipens, mini hand lotion, 2 pill bottles, and inhaler in the middle pocket, my wallet, stress ball, planner for keeping up with drs appointments, pencils, snacks, my 32oz brita water bottle, my sunglasses, 2 pairs of prescription glasses, hand sanitizer, keys, phone, feminine hygiene products, and still has some room. It's smaller than my last bag yet my last bag struggled to keep everything. It is on the heavy side but you have to keep in mind that it is real leather. It really isn't that heavy once you actually put it on, even with all of the stuff I have in it. I like the additional shoulder strap. I also use it to hang the bag by the headrest or seat belt it in so it doesn't go flying if I'm ever in an accident again. I'll definitely be getting more bags from the brand. I like it more than the big name brands.Finally! I have purchased any number of backpack purses (after my daughter informed me that "no one uses a purse anymore") and have never found one that worked well for me. But I digress.I have found other leather backpack purses: (1) to be too heavy, (2) to have too few outside pockets and (3) to have outside pockets that are hard to get into even when they are present. I have also purchased any number of nylon backpack purses and found them, in general, to be too small or to look too casual for my intended use.Therefore, I am quite happy (almost delirious) to report that this black leather version (for me) seems to be the ideal solution. The leather is soft and medium weight--which gives it a professional look (vs. nylon for example). There are 3 large external pockets which meet my needs for quick access to: (1) a phone, (2) some cash (yes, I am that old fashioned) and (3) other fast-access essentials (Purell, for example). There are 2 side pockets (the kind you would think of to use for a water bottle. That said, the ones on this bag are pretty small and I don't think ANY water bottle or umbrella would fit. Now that I think of it, I will use one of them for a small bottle of Purell.The interior is roomy and has several internal pockets including one with a zipper. The lining is black fabric (in this case) which looks nice but makes things a little harder to find inside.While the bag is not highly structured, I found it to keep its' shape reasonably well when filled up. I know some have said it is too slouchy--that is probably a matter of taste. This has more structure than almost any nylon bag, for example.The shoulder straps are a combo of leather at the top and soft nylon strap. Very adjustable--work well for me. There is also a strap to turn it into a shoulder bag---it looks good but I do not intend to use that.The only addition I would make is a tether for keys and/or wallet. In this case, I solved for this by sewing a standard keychain "ring" onto the inside. I just clip my carabiner key ring onto the ring and also put a tether or two (I have leftover tethers from other bags).Anyway, this bag seems to offer a professional look (in the black leather) as well as good utility as a true backpack purse. The size is optimal for me--not too large and not too small (and sturdy without being heavy).It is a very nice leather backpack. Nevertheless, it's not even close to purple and that's what I needed. Back it went.This bag is a great price for real leather. It’s super soft and comfortable. It has plenty of interior pockets to keep items organized. It also fits my makeup bag, my billfold, my medicine, all the random crap I carry around, and weird toys my kids stuff in there. I get compliments on it often! Super easy, grab and go bag that matches everything. I’ve had problems whatsoever with zippers, tears, or malfunctions. Works as well as the day it first arrived!This is a great bag. Soft leather, and just the size I was looking for. I’m replacing a smaller bag that I love, but just doesn’t hold all the things I want to pack around with me on the daily. This holds all my basics with room for extras like dog leashes, snacks, tea bottles, etc, and is tall enough to easily cover my 20oz water bottle (a major drawback of smaller backpack purses). I think I prefer the looks of the smaller bag, but lifestyle dictates the 13”. I got the fawn colored one, I think it’s called “orange”, but it’s a nice, natural looking leather. I keep wondering if I would have preferred the red or black, but I stared using it immediately so too late now. It’s a nice tan that will go with anything.I swapped the dangly zipper pull so it goes on the middle pocket, so the weight doesn’t pull the vertical zipper down and also so it doesn’t hit the table when I put it down. You can do this by sliding forward the little stop that holds the pull (The part you hang on to) onto the car (the part that zips). It’s a small, triangular bit on the car that slides forward, you can push it with a small flathead screwdriver or something, and then there’s room to get the pull out.It needs longer straps shoulder strap puts it under your armpit. Difficult to wear as crossbody unless your body is the size of a pencil. The leather is very nice and the multiple pockets are well placed . It looks good. I really like the blue color. The only thing I would change is to increase the length of the straps.
