I absolutely LOVE this pack. The small size fits my 11-12 lb Miniature Pinscher perfectly. I have NO complaints about it, other than they don't make it in an extra small. I wish they made 1 size smaller for our smallest Miniature Pinscher, who is only about 8 lbs (but she'd probably hate wearing it anyway to be honest). I think this will last us for years to come - but then again, I don't do much off-trail hiking. I'm not sure how well this would hold up to an actual off-trail hike.The bags stay very well balanced and the entire ensemble appears to be very well made using quality materials. I love the padded chest piece - it really ensures the pack is comfortable. Our dog loves it, and was begging to go for a walk after wearing it for just a few minutes. It's super easy to add/remove the bags to give your pup a break when necessary. She also seems much calmer and walks MUCH better while wearing this. Previously, she'd drag me down the street! She was always super energetic, even after a 3-4 mile walk. Now, while she's not overly exhausted, it is enough to ensure she's no longer dragging me down the street during our walks, making me believe she's actually getting a better workout.We fit two water bottles (1 on each side), a baggie of food, a collapsible water bowl (nylon), & poop bags in it with no problems. Once properly fitted, this pack was well balanced and didn't slide all around - even when I stopped at a rest point and took one of the bottles out to give her a drink (leaving the other one in the off-side pack).I am considering buying a 2nd pack for my 3rd Min Pin, who is 13-14 lbs so he can join us on our walks. I'm hoping wearing this will calm him down on walks as well. Currently, he's simply too hyper to take out in public. He drags me all over the place and actually tears up his back feet from pulling (despite trying headcollars, martingales, anti-pull harnesses, etc). We'll try it on him using her pack first and go from there, but I have high hopes for this.I really wish Amazon would let me upload a photo so y'all could see how well it fits and such. :-(
